Soft Tissue Tumors
Soft tissue tumors of the bladder consist largely of the smooth muscle tumors (leiomyomas and leiomyosarcomas) in adults and the rhabdomyosarcomas in the early decades of life. Other tumors are not common. In our classifcation we use the terminology and diagnostic criteria set forth in the WHO Histological Typing of Soft Tissue Tumors (Weiss, SW, 1994, WHO Histological Typing of Soft Tissue Tumors, 2nd Edition, Springer-Verlay, Heidelberg).
