Hamartoma

This is a rare polypoid-type of bladder lesion. It contains a more florid proliferation of von Brunn nests and cystitis cystica then the typical fibroepithelial polyp but a clear distinction from the latter may not be possible and likely is not essential. Figure 1 and Figure 2 show two examples of solitary bladder polyps with complex epithelial proliferations, including cystitis cystica. It is arguable whether these are hamartomatous or a variety of fibroepithelial polyp.
