Acute pyelonephritis with abscesses
    In low magnification, observed that the pattern of neutrophil infiltration is often
centered in and around collecting ducts that lie from the medulla to the cortex.
( Fig.1). 

     Abscess is formed when a defined area is replaced by liquifaction
necrosis of tissue and dense neutrophils infiltration ( Fig.2). 

     The neutrophil infiltration is seen within the tubular lumen ( Fig.3) as well as in the interstitium
( Fig.4).
